About Dennis
Dennis Howard, the sole crew member on board for the trip, will be sixty two years old when the trip begins later this year. He is the father of three wonderful children, Adrienne, Dennis, and Chris. He spent the majority of his professional life in medical undertakings—he has worked as a paramedic in the Army and in San Francisco; worked as a Hospital Administrator and was the Managing Partner of a highly successful international medical business engaged in FDA clinical trials in the U.S., Canada, and Guadalajara, Mexico.
Upon the sale of these businesses Dennis sailed, often times single-handing, from Canada to the Sea of Cortez in Baja Mexico. His sailing experience spans several decades including ocean voyages, sail and power yacht delivery, and sailing instruction. He has logged literally thousands of miles sailing the Pacific Ocean without additional crew. It has been one of his long term passions in life.
